After the drive pack or card has been installed in another device and the device is online, go to Reformat Device located in the Edit  menu.

A Password window opens.

Upon successfully entering the JBL factory supplied password, the Speaker Type selection window opens.

Select the desired speaker type from the drop down menu.

After selection, the drop down menu will gray out and no longer be available until the device has been changed.

Reboot the device from this form.

The Reboot button changes colors and is labeled Rebooting while the button is engaged. The button is a momentary contact type and does not need to be held for the device to reboot.

When the speaker-type of the device is reset an Address Conflict error alert occurs.  Allow up to one minute after rebooting the device for the Address Conflict window to pop up.  If the Address Conflict alert does not appear after the first reboot, CONTINUE to reboot the device until the Address Conflict alert pops up. Only after the device throws an address conflict error will the device be assured to accept the correct device file.

Click OK on the Address Conflict alert.

A new device appears in Venue View with the speaker icon of the new device but with the old device name
