Audio Architect can send you event messages based on your specifications. The standard messaging feature does not require you to log in to your email account; it simply uses the credentials of the current windows user.Audio Architect can send you event messages based on your specifications. To use the messaging feature, you will need to have an email server. You can get the following information from your email service provider:
Send E-mail for Event Log Messages - Check this box to send an email message when specified Event Log has occurred. If the box is checked, complete the following information:
SMTP Server - The server address (can be acquired from email service provider)
From - The email sender address that will appear on the message
Subject - The email subject line that will appear on the message
If you need to authenticate to your mail server, you will need to use the advanced email options. Consult your network administrator for specific information.
Use Advanced Options - Check this box to use advanced email options.
User Name - the account name to authenticate with
Password - the password associated with the account name
Server Port - will be provided by email service provider (default is 25)
Use SSL (Secure Socket Layer): When checked, the SSL protocol will be used
Address - the destination email address
Type - Which event type will generate an email message
Error - errors that occur
Warning - alert of a problem that may occur if a change is not made
Info - general information about events
Priority - Which priority will generate an email message: high, medium, or low
High - Important or critical events
Medium - Average events
Low - Minor events
Category - Which category will generate an email message: device, protocol, or application errors
Device - events that occur within or in relation to a device
Protocol - events that occur within the HiQnetTM protocol
Application - events that occur within the Audio Architect application
Server - events that occur within the Soundweb Contrio Server
