Signal Naming

When configuring a BLU device, you may name a signal path and that path name will carry throughout the design.

For example:

A BLU-800 opens to a window similar to the one shown below.

Select one of the Analog Input Cards.

In the Properties window:

 Select "Signal Names"

This brings up the following window:

Click in one of the "#:~" lines and type a Signal Name for that output.

NOTE: It is named "Output" because the signal in the design is derived from the output of the Analog Input Card. You may still think of it as that particular channel's input name.

Signal Naming Shortcuts:

$ = This will pass through the input signal name

~ = The name of the output

# = The name of the processing object

Here's an example of a completed Signal Naming for one BLU-800 input card.

The processing objects will now reflect the updated signal names.

When the named signals are mixed, there must be a new name for the mixed signals.

This is done in the Properties window.
