The Access Control feature allows you to limit users' control of and access to a venue file.
Note that all active user changes will be recorded in the Event Log.
If left without a password, Audio Architect files will open without a login dialog.
To add a new User, Click the Add User button located in the Users section of the ribbon.
User Setup: The default window where you can change the name of each User, change passwords, and set each User's Startup Panel.
Password: Click here to add a new password, or change an existing password.
Startup Panel: When this user logs in, the selected control panel will launch. Note: The User must have been given appropriate access to the selected panel.
Auto Log in: Only one user is allowed Auto log in. When Audio Architect is launched, this user will automatically be logged in.
Auto log out on Windows lock: When checked, this user will be logged out upon a Windows operating system lock.
Auto log out on remote desktop ended: When checked, upon ending a remote desktop session - this user will automatically be logged out.
Auto log out after inactivity: A drop-down menu for selecting an amount of Windows inactivity time before automatically logging the user out. Times include 1, 2, 5, 10, 15 and 30 minutes, 1, 2, 4 and 8 hours.
Application Functions: Here assignments are made determining which of the listed Application Functions are available for the selected User.
Run Venue Mode: Shows a grid of available display options, and what device synchronization takes place on startup.
What to do in Synchronize Venue mode: Sets the synchronization method for the user on startup. The Admin always has permissions for Load, Send or Receive. Consecutive users may be set to Receive only, this is a safe setting in that the user is not allowed to send unauthorized programming to devices. Other options include Load, Send or Receive - or Auto Load and Receive.
Enable Full Screen: Checking this box automatically checks the remaining boxes except Expand Ribbon.
When in Run Venue Mode the checked options occur.
Expand Ribbon: When checked, the ribbon is expanded to full size during Run Venue Mode.
Custom Panels: Shows a grid of available Custom Panels. Here you select whether each User may have no access (None), Operate access, or Edit access.
Room Panels: Shows a grid of available Room Panels. These checkboxes allow the user access to certain room parameters.
Event Filtering:
Shows a grid of possible events available from each device in the design.
Shown above is an example.
Email Settings: Enter the email address for the user where the notification is to be sent.
Email Frequency:
Instant: Sends the email notification when the event occurs.
Periodic: Send an email notification, if one has occurred, at the specified time and interval.
Enable / Disable: Select whether you wish to turn Access Control for the selected user on/off.
Add User: Adds a new user to the grid.
Duplicate User: Duplicates the selected (highlighted in orange) user.
Delete: Deletes the selected user.
If Access Control has been set up for an Audio Architect file, this Login dialog window will appear each time the file is opened.
