The JBL DrivePack CobraNet (DPCN) version of the JBL Software Control panel adds a CobraNet® Foldback control button to the Device Tool bar. Double click on the Foldback button to activate the CobraNet Foldback signal routing panel.
This feature is available in individual JBL CobraNet compatible Device control panels and JBL Master Panels when CobraNet devices are present within the master control group.
The CobraNet Foldback feature, also called a CobraNet Listen Bus, provides a means to listen to the audio input or output of JBL DPCN devices within your HiQnet system over the Ethernet network. The Foldback Control panel allows you to select what items should be transmitted to a monitor location via CobraNet over the network. The setup requires an online CobraNet to Analog converter to pull CobraNet audio off the network and into a monitor system. A JBL speaker device such as a JBL VP7212/95DPCN with built-in CobraNet interface, would provide a simple solution to implement the Foldback feature.
Note: Input or output selection in each slot location will broadcast those sources into the network. It is recommended that No Output is selected as the slot default of each device until the device is monitored.
The audio signal being monitored is selected via the DPCN Input Routing sub-panel. The selections available are the Analog Inputs or the Amplifier Outputs. The audio can only be routed out through one bundle.
No Output - De-selects a source for that slot, no signal is broadcast into the network.
Analog Input - Routes the analog input from the input module for the corresponding slot.
Amplifier Output 1 - Routes the output from channel 1 of the DrivePack amplifier for the corresponding slot.
Amplifier Output 2 - Routes the output from channel 2 of the DrivePack amplifier (if applicable) for the corresponding slot.
Amplifier Output 3 - Routes the output from channel 3 of the DrivePack amplifier (if applicable) for the corresponding slot.
