Crown Master Control Panels

Audio Architect supports the ability to create Master Control Panels allowing for the control of multiple like devices, and Channel Master Control Panels. Not all products are supported with Master Control Panels. The panels function the same as the individual product panels, however there are some limitations.

The difference between the Master Panel and Channel Master is whether one is controlling a single channel of the device or both channels. When one creates a Channel Master, all the channels assigned to that control are modified when a setting is modified on the Channel Master panel.

Not all devices can be combined with each other. It is possible to combine PIP-USP3 and PIP-USP3/CN onto one panel, however almost every other device cannot be placed into the same panel. The reason for this limitation is that the hardware for these products are different enough to prevent the combining.

To make it possible to tell if one is controlling a single device or multiple devices using a master control panel, the color scheme has been reversed on the control panels. A single device has a light background a master control panel has a dark background. In addition the processing icons are smaller.

Also not all processing blocks are available on the master panel; an example is the ability to change the output mode on CDi, DSi, or XTi.

The individual processing panels will indicate the settings for the first device added to the Master Panel, typically these will all be the same values, if the values are different an alert symbol will appear in the parameter that is not the same across all devices in the group. In the screen capture below, Channel 1 has the settings set the same, Channel 2 has the alert icon showing to indicate that the values are not consistent across all the devices.
