Graph Collaboration

A graph is a control on a Custom Panel that consists of three sections:  the graph itself, a Selector Panel, and a Widget Panel.  These support panels make using the graph easier and more efficient, regardless of the type of graph (Dynamic Processor graph or Frequency/Gain graph).

The following steps must be performed on the Custom Panel designer before collaboration can take place:

1) add a graph to the Custom Panel designer

2) link the graph to a device parameter

3) add a selector panel and/or a widget panel

You can link two selector panels and two widget panels to each graph.

Automatic collaboration

Select the graphs and the desired panel(s).  Right click and select "Collaborate graph controls."

Manual collaboration

With manual collaboration, the graph and the panels are manually assigned and linked.  This is accomplished by entering the name of the panel(s) into the graph properties or vice versa.

1) Open the Properties section of the desired panel and note the name.  The "Collaboration" section of the graph will be blank.

2) Open the properties section of the graph.  Type the panel name under the appropriate collaboration section:

3) The graph and panel are now linked:

Setting up a graph can be a complex and time-consuming process;  use device control panel graphs as often as possible.
